Garlic

Amongst the famous love-hate stories in the gustatory preferences, garlic definitely is a classic, bordering mysticism, attributed with medicinal properties (folkloric or scientific) and some obscure "powers". Although it has been so for ages, it’s still going on strong, no pun intended! ;-)

Some could do without it, but I’m part of the aficionados. Truth is, many traditional recipes would not be the same without this very special ingredient. Can you imagine pesto without garlic? The famous French aioli would simply not exist. Garlic is also widely used in most Asian recipes; from Korean kimchi to Thai curry paste.

No matter how we feel about garlic, surely no one is indifferent to it!

My wonderful and beloved friend *asymons made a suggestion and since she always makes sense, I am just too happy to oblige! :heart:

The theme of this journal is about garlic.

I would like to invite all members, watchers and friends to take an artistic picture of a garlic! :) All submissions will be showcased on the next journal. If this friendly game goes well, we shall make it a monthly 'challenge', with a different subject each time, always related to food of course.
